$85.2 Million Allocated to Rail Investments in Connecticut
Today Governor Ned Lamont along with Connecticut’s Congressional Delegation announced that the state has received $85.2 million for infrastructure investments, including rail. The funds are coming from a federal grant and will be used for two major capital projects that improve safety and reliability along the Connecticut-owned New Haven Line, and the Amtrak-owned Shore Line East. Governor Lamont said, “We all know how critical the Northeast Corridor is for job creation, economic growth, and environmentally friendly transportation.
