Comptroller Kevin Lembo Resigns
Today Connecticut’s Comptroller Kevin Lembo announced that he will be resigning immediately due to health reasons. Lembo was first elected in 2010 during the Malloy administration, and has remained Connecticut’s head accountant into the Lamont administration. His office released a statement citing what an honor it has been to serve Connecticut. Lembo has roughly a year left in his term, and Governor Ned Lamont stated that he will be appointing a replacement for the rest of Lembo’s term. An election for a new Comptroller will be held next November.
